Government Tibbi College, Patna, was established in the year 1926 and is one of the oldest institutions imparting education to students in Unani medicine. It is a co-educational college located at Patna in Bihar, India. It is functioning for nearly a hundred years now, located in the heart of Patna. Affiliated with the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM), Government Tibbi College in Patna ensures that the curriculum developed is at par with the national standards. The faculty at the college consists of 21 well-experienced professionals. A separate undergraduate and postgraduate course on Unani medicine are being conducted within the premises of the college. Government Tibbi College, Patna offers four different courses, at undergraduate level and the postgraduate level. The flagship course of the college is Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), a full-time course with a duration of 40 students for four years. The college offers three super-specialty courses at the postgraduate level: MD Kulliyat, MD Ilmul Advia, and MD Mahiyatul Amraz. Each of these postgraduate courses has a duration of three years on a full-time basis, and MD Ilmul Advia has 7 seats, while MD Kulliyat and MD Mahiyatul Amraz have 6 seats each. This diverse range of courses provides students an opportunity to avail themselves of specialised knowledge in the different aspects of Unani medicine.
