It is affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and is a government-managed institution. The college offers an MBBS program with an intake of 250 students annually, with recognized seats for undergraduate medical education.

The MBBS course lasts 4.5 years, followed by a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship. The college has been recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), and it has been granted an increase in seats from 200 to 250. AMC also offers postgraduate and super-specialty training in various medical and surgical specialties​.
