More than half a century ago, the philanthropist in and around Kolenchery, under the auspices of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, envisage a noble initiative to care for the sick and the destitute which gave shape to the founding of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical Mission (MOSC Medical Mission). In addition to MOSC Medical College Hospital, the Medical Mission runs top rated educational institutions namely MOSC Medical College, MOSC College of Nursing and MOSC Institute of Allied Health Sciences.
The MOSC Medical College Hospital started in 1970 with 100 patient beds has now grown to a well known 1100 beds multi specialty hospital with state of the art investigative and therapeutic facilities. We have celebrated our golden Jubilee of 50 successful years of the hospital in 2019 - 20. At this juncture we thankfully remember the Founding fathers Late Mr. Chacko Pillai (Founder Secretary), Dr. K.C. Mammen (Founder Director) and all great peoples who lead or contribute to the growth of our institution.
